Summer in Mara presents a new introductory kinematics

The Chibig title for PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, presents its colorful introductory kinematics in which we can discover characters, scenarios and more.

Summer in Mara is a title developed and edited by the Valencian studio Chibig Studio for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch that will finally arrive in early February 2020. Thanks to the 2D kinematics that occupies us, about 2 minutes long, we can discover a little more of the scenarios present in the game and its characters. With a graphic style and animation reminiscent of some works of the Ghibli studio, the adventure title invites us to know its world.

A long journey to see the light: from the Kickstarter to the publication

We remember that Summer in Mara was initially a project that had a campaign on Kickstarter to obtain the necessary financing in order to get ahead. In fact, they managed to reach € 233,900 at the end of the deadline. A large sum that greatly exceeded the € 20,000 that the team had as initial expectations. Of course, it was a great surprise for the Valencians, as they told us in the interview that we conducted at the beginning of the year.

The plot of the game puts us in the shoes of Koa, a girl who lives on her own island with her grandmother, Haku. Although his life may seem placid and devoid of problems, a series of nightmares begin to assault his dreams with the arrival of the elites, an evil corporation that seeks to end Mara's resources. In order to avoid it, Koa will embark on a great adventure that will take her out of the island and thanks to which she will meet more than twenty characters, each with their own life and stories. By counting on your help, Koa will be able to face the elit and defend Mara.
