The title of Nintendo receives its latest expansion totally free with the possibility of creating, in essence, our own Super Mario game.
Nintendo has announced the latest update of Super Mario Maker 2. The exclusive video game on Nintendo Switch will receive this April 22 completely free of charge a great expansion of content starring, among other news, the addition of World Maker; that is, the possibility of creating our own worlds on a map with its own levels.

The title, which will be one year old in the coming months, has been reinvented since its launch last June and will end now by saying goodbye to this novelty in which we can create a map as if a world were treated with different tools: terrain (snow , desert, forest, plateau …), shape of the island, way to go through the phases, bridges, pipes, mushroom houses and points to establish the beginning of the level. Of course, Bowser Castle too.
In total, each player will be able to create eight worlds, the number that many of the main installments of Super Mario have had in their canonical series. In terms of levels, we will be able to distribute up to 40 levels in those eight worlds. And yes, everything can be shared with everyone through the online servers of Super Mario Maker 2 (subscription to Nintendo Switch Online through), always maintaining the visual style of Super Mario World (SNES).
New Items: Super Mario Bros. 2 is coming
The update is also accompanied by new items. The first of them will be familiar to those who have played Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES), as their Mushroom is back. With it, we can transform ourselves into the skin of the character in question of said delivery and, therefore, take objects that we have in front of us as well as enemies. The Super Mario Bros. 3 Frog Costume, exclusive to this installment (apart from Paper Mario: Sicker Star), allows Mario to jump higher, swim faster or endure better in streams. Also back is the Super Acorn from New Super Mario Bros. U (Wii U), with which Mario can transform into a kind of acorn with colored stripes with the ability to glide through the air as if he had a cape when receiving membranes on the arms. New types of terrain and options are also arriving, such as levels based on the search for a key, trampolines on / off, Mechakoopa as a special enemy …
On the other hand, an assortment of known objects from Super Mario 3D World (Wii U), such as the Cannon Box, the Propeller Box, the Red Pow Box, Goomba mask, and the Bill Bala mask. In closing, the seven Koopalings are finally added to the game, one of the biggest requests from the community.
