Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director admits to fainting from fatigue

Masahiro Sakurai points out that tiredness and dehydration were important factors for his health problems.

The creator of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch, Masahiro Sakurai, addresses his health problems in the usual column he publishes in Weekly Famitsu. A reader of the magazine has sent him a letter asking him about his diet and the care he takes. However, the creative has recognized problems, since he passed out recently in the gym, something that blames dehydration and fatigue in recent months.

"Driving (feeding) is a roll, but it is important," admits Sakurai. In his words, health is crucial, although he explains that he has lost muscle mass due to the restrictions he has with carbohydrates. "The other day after going to the gym for the first time in a while I passed out in the bathroom area, I lost consciousness for a few seconds and fell," he explains. “This bad situation is due to a combination between being tired and dehydrated. It is very dangerous and I have to be careful, ”he concludes.

Onsen baths in Japan have high temperature pools, which can cause tides and falls depending on the individual's situation. Normally, it is established that people should not remain in the water for a long time, since the voltage drops occur as soon as they leave the pools, when they come into contact with lower temperatures.

The Fighters Pass Vol. 2 will incorporate 6 new characters

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an exclusive Nintendo Switch that went on sale in December 2018. Since then, the game has continued to evolve with new content, both free and paid. After the end of the first season, the Fighters Pass Vol. 1, which introduced six new characters, Nintendo plans to release a second volume with six additional characters, not yet revealed. After that content, there will be no more new fighters.

In his column, Sakurai himself recalled that he is not the one who chooses the characters, but that the selection corresponds to Nintendo itself.
