It goes without saying that, being the most successful fighting game ever, of course Super Smash Bros Ultimate is also of this generation, surpassing another great franchise such as Mortal Kombat with its tenth and eleventh deliveries. The Nintendo game has reached a whopping 15'71 million copies sold, for the 15.5 million other myth of the genre such as Street Fighter II, with the added merit of being exclusive to Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, Super Smash Bros Ultimate is also one of the games nominated for Game of the Year in the upcoming The Game Awards, along with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Death Stranding, Control, The Outer Worlds and Resident Evil 2.
