SuperEpic: Collector’s Edition prepares its physical arrival for PS4 and Switch

Numskull Games and Meridiem Games will launch a limited edition of the game, a satire of microtransactions through a very particular adventure.

After the great reception of critics and audiences harvested by SuperEpic: The Entertainment War at the end of the year, Meridiem Games and Numskull Games have made official SuperEpic: Collector's Edition, an edition in physical format where the game with box and disk / cartridge will be included for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

This special edition, limited to 3,000 copies on the Sony console and 5,000 units in the Nintendo hybrid, will feature a collector's display box with six high-quality pins based on the characters in the title, whose Metroidvania gameplay marries deep exploration and combos based combat.

What awaits us in SuperEpic

The Catalan studio, through this high-intensity adventure where we control a raccoon and a hamburger-eater flame, managed to convince PS4 and Nintendo Switch players internationally for its so satirical way of interpreting today's society, specifically the linked to the electronic leisure sector, criticizing the use of microtransactions and improvement systems of many of today's video games.

For those who consider the purchase of SuperEpic: Collector’s Edition, it is worth saying that an adventure of about eight hours is waiting for us, although its roguelike mode can extend the experience much more. On a technical level, the team opted for an artistic style reminiscent of the greats of the genre at the time of the 16-bit Neo-Geo. In addition, the cross-media experience will make us take out our mobile phone on more than one occasion, because in many of the levels we expect hidden QR codes with mini-games that we must complete to discover some of the secrets of the main game. All this, seasoned with a soundtrack composed of SonoTrigger, make SuperEpic consolidated as one of the most notable national bets in the recent scene.
