In the interview, Zelnick highlighted that fans are already ordering the $100 Ultimate Edition in higher numbers than the $80 Standard Edition, citing the “astronomical” pre‑order volume discussed in the recent earnings call.
Rockstar’s Pricing Stance and Digital Release
Rockstar has maintained GTA 5’s high price for a long period and rarely discounts its titles, even years after launch. The company has also decided against a physical disc for GTA 6, making a holiday physical drop unlikely.
