According to Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, it is very possible that some old titles will come out on new generation consoles.
This was dropped in response to one of the shareholders, who asked him about this issue. Although he has not entered specific names, he has shown that this kind of commercial maneuver will occur at some point. “When it comes to the question about old games launching on the next generation of consoles,” he begins, “we always leave those announcements for our labels, but I’m sure there will be more in the future.”

GTA V, on the way to the new consoles
While a possible adaptation of Red Dead Redemption 2 to upcoming systems has not been reported, Rockstar Games will bring GTA 5 to these platforms. The title, which has already sold a whopping 135 million units worldwide, will be further expanded with its version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, which will incorporate graphics and performance improvements. In addition, users of the Sony console will receive a standalone version of GTA Online, which can be downloaded for free during the first three months from its launch.
The new generation already has a launch window, but not a specific date. Both Microsoft and Sony have set their arrival for the end of the year, although other crucial details such as the price are still unknown.
