Ubisoft has announced, through a video on its official YouTube channel, that the core of the Rainbow Six Siege development team leaves the game to focus on other projects. The creative director, Xavier Marquis, and the director of the brand, Alexandre Remy, are taking some members of the Siege team to a new adventure. We still do not have many details about this new project, but we do have the official statements of the team after its departure.
“A new project”
Marquis and Remy have been Siege's face since the beginning of the franchise. It was those who helped bring to light the initial version and who turned the game into what it is today. Much of the game development team has not changed throughout this time and the game's director, Leroy Athanassoff, continues to lead the team's efforts. Leaders who leave the core of the team have not suggested what they intend to do next, but they have ensured that their presence in the team is no longer necessary for their success.
