The Last of Us: Part 2 goes to May 29, 2020

Although it was initially said that The Last of Us: Part 2 was going to go on sale on February 21 – in fact, the half-world press was called to try the game for the first time, as we told you in FreeGameTips after several hours of departure—, within a few weeks it was announced that this date will not be the one finally chosen for Ellie's expertise to reach the stores, but on May 29, 2020, a quarter later and a few months after launch of PlayStation 5, at Christmas 2020.

According to Neil Druckmann, director of this project, they have reached the limit of PS4 in terms of power, memory and size with The Last of Us: Part 2, a title in which they have been immersed for more than five years and that has become the “Bigger, ambitious and long” game they have made in their thirty-five years of history. In another forum he also communicated that they want to deal with violence “in the most realistic way possible”.

Almudena Soria, lead animator at Naughty Dog, explained the following to FreeGameTips in an interview: “Ellie has a totally new animation system: motion mapping. But not only Ellie, but all the characters. In this way, we achieve a more receptive and more realistic movement at the same time. I would say that Ellie is among the best characters in third-person action games on the market. ” Touch wait, however, to know whether or not it will be one of the great titles of this generation.
