The Last of Us: Part II should appear as soon as possible, demo rather unlikely

If you are currently frustrated that ‘The Last of Us: Part II’ had to be postponed again, you can breathe a sigh of relief, because you are just as disappointed with Naughty Dog. Therefore, one is currently looking for optimal ways so that the release can take place as quickly as possible.

This was once again confirmed by Naughty Dog Boss Neil Druckmann in the official PlayStation podcast. Even if there is no new release date, it does not have to mean that it is now far away. The game is almost finished and is only being fine-tuned. Also, you can hardly wait to hand it over to the players.

“Internally, we know we have a great game and we just have to wait a little longer to make it accessible to fans. I know the fans are disappointed and believe me when I say that we are just as disappointed, if not more, that we are unable to deliver the game on time. ”

At the moment, people are considering how best to design the release without having to prefer digital sellers. A final decision has not yet been made on this point, as it goes on to say.

“There is still no final decision, we only respond to the various retail chains as to whether we can deliver physical copies to the players, as well as the digital infrastructure. This is a global game launch that people in every country are waiting for and we want to make sure we’re fair about it. ”

So at the moment you are examining all possible options to find out how to reach all fans as quickly as possible, but this also takes some time. Ultimately, things change almost every day.

Demo rather unlikely

While press and media representatives can take a look at The Last of Us: Part II these days, it looks rather bad with a public demo. This is mainly due to the fact that internal events are planned very differently, while a public demo would have to be developed from scratch.

“It’s an enormous amount of work that we don’t want to burden our team with. We’d rather focus on completing the game itself. ”

The press demo is already out of date anyway and is not representative of the final game. So not a big waiver.
