All the speculation about the specifications of the PS5 and new Xbox could be obsolete again today, if you believe a recent report by the otherwise well-informed Kotaku editor Jason Schreier.
Most recently, it was said here that Microsoft with around 13 teraflops of computing power in its Xbox Series X is clearly superior to the PS5 with its alleged 9 teraflops. The PS5 is said to have the edge in terms of speed, which could compensate for the difference in computing power.
Stronger than the RTX 2080?
According to Schreier, the current podcast states that the total computing power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X should be higher than that of the RTX 2080. This is given with around 10 teraflops, which would make the recent information on the PS5 not appear to be correct, provided this statement also applies in the end. Where he got this info from is not known, but probably from developer circles.
Microsoft compares it to a spoiler
In general, Microsoft is already asking why people are so interested in the specifications so early? This could be compared to a spoiler for a film that nobody wants to know beforehand.
