The Nintendo Switch title receives update 5.2.0 and brings back the most popular community events from its multiplayer side.
Nintendo has decided to recover the Splatfest for Splatoon 2. The popular multiplayer shooter on Nintendo Switch, one of the most successful titles on the console, will feature a new edition of these community events through the online multiplayer mode for which, for several days, two sides face each other to see which team gets more points. Since last July there has not been one.
Also, Splatoon 2 has received the update 5.2.0, where bug fixes are applied and it is mandatory to use the online features of the game. According to the information, it will be this May 22 and for 48 hours when the mayonnaise faces ketchup, two of the most chosen sauces of modern times, at least in North America and Japan. In Europe the hours of celebration of the Splatfest have not yet been confirmed, nor if this will be the theme of the confrontation.

Splatoon 2 Special Demo 2020 this April
In addition, Nintendo has confirmed that a new Splatoon 2 Special Demo 2020 will be playable for everyone over a period of seven days. The authorized periods will go from April 30 at 08:00 (CEST) until May 6, not only if we are members of Nintendo Switch Online, since those who are not will receive by email a 7-day code to play online through this infrastructure. This version will be a demo, it is not the complete game, but it includes the 4v4 mode of online friendly matches. Also, you can also try the Ranked mode and the Salmon Run, the cooperative multiplayer mode.
Splatoon 2 is also one of the best selling Nintendo Switch games in Spain. Last December, the GfK consultancy published a report with the 5 best-selling titles of the console in our country. Among them, Splatoon 2 was in fourth place.
Splatoon 2 is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch. After its release last summer of 2017, the title continues to be updated to correct errors, but not to add new content. Hopefully, sooner or later, the saga will somehow return. It is unknown if a third party is currently branded.
