The game directed by Masahiro Sakurai will be present in the temple of fighting games, but the prize for the winner will not be too juicy.
Nintendo will return to the competitive scene with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, one of the titles in which it can be played with the aim of raising the champion prize at the EVO Japan 2020, which will be held in Japan from next January 24 . However, players who intend to win a succulent cash prize will discover that no economic rewards are planned. At least, that shows the image that the organization has made public.
While in other video games such as Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition or Blazblue Cross Tag Battle there are prizes that reach one million yen (in exchange, more than 8000 euros) in some cases, the reward for triumphing in the fighting game Nintendo is just a Pro Controller, yes, with a gold engraving. In addition, only prize is contemplated for the winner, because the capture does not contain any details for the second or third classified.
Evo Japan first place prize (converted to USD):
Street Fighter V: $ 9000
Tekken 7: $ 9000
BBTag: $ 4500
Samurai Spirits: $ 4500
Soul Calibur VI: $ 4500
Smash Ultimate: a pro controllerAre you kidding me LOLhttps: //t.co/mPOqtpozLj pic.twitter.com/Jqutio8UZp

New characters in development
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recently starred in a new Nintendo Direct in which Masahiro Sakurai, director of the game, announced and explained the operation of the new confirmed character. This is Byleth, one of the protagonists of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which comes with new scenarios, female and male variant and 11 unpublished musical themes. In addition, the head of the project also unveiled the Fighters Pass Vol 2, which will incorporate new characters throughout the coming months. They gave no further details about it, beyond that they are immersed in its development.
The title, published by those in Kyoto at the end of 2018 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, has been expanded with unpublished fighters, all related to the video game industry. The first season includes Joker (Person 5), Hero (Dragon Quest), Banjo & Kazooie, Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury) and the aforementioned Byleth (Fire Emblem: Three Houses).
