The Witcher on Netflix: new posters of Yennefer and Ciri

Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan play these two characters, who accompany Henry Cavill – Generalt de Rivia – on their long journey.

Netflix will premiere the eight chapters that make up the first season of The Witcher on December 20, in the middle of the winter season, at which time Geralt de Rivia will walk through the dark places of a world infested with monsters, which are seen with the naked eye and those who hide under a false lambskin. The platform, which has already initiated a marketing offensive, has just presented three new posters.

He has done it on his official Twitter account, but this time the protagonist is not Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt de Rivia in fiction, but two other important characters in the world created by Andrzej Sapowski, author of the novels. This is Yennefer and Ciri, embodied by Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan, respectively.

The controversy over the design of Nilfgaard's armor

Lauren S. Hissrich, showrunner of The Witcher, commented in a Reddit thread one of the small controversies surrounding the series, which is nothing other than the design of Nilfgaard's army armor. According to the head of the series, they have opted for this aspect to reflect that it is an army under construction, still far from what it will be in the future. Given that fiction will last for years, Hissrich thinks that Nilfgaard will experience an evolution, as in books.

The Netflix series will be based directly on the books, so we are facing a different version of The Witcher from the one that CD Projekt RED project. The Polish studio, which maintains a pulse with the author of the novels, has not ruled out working on future video games of the franchise. Now, they still haven't made any announcements about it.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, a spin off Gwent title, was the last video game about the sorcerer they published, not counting the Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This conversion includes all the content released so far on the same card. This means that the two big expansions come inside the pack.
