Today, speculation about the PS5 Reveal Event, which the entire industry is now expecting in February, is fueled again. The former God of War creator becomes a little more specific here.
As Jaffe writes on Twitter today, the event will take place within the next 4 weeks, at the latest in mid-February. Jaffe attributes this to the fact that real hardcore fans would now absorb every snippet of new information about the PS5 and Microsoft is currently somewhat dominant on the subject. With the Reveal Event, Sony could easily redirect attention to the PS5.
PS5 reveal is less than 4 weeks away. Sony knows hard core gamers are hanging on every scrap of info and know that just cause MSFT dominates the conversation at the moment, that's an easy thing to change when they are ready to reveal (assuming the reveal is good).

It is not entirely clear whether David Jaffe has inside information and is simply guessing. In the meantime, several possible dates have been mentioned that fall into his speculation, including February 12 and February 5, 2020. However, nothing is confirmed yet.
Jaffe himself only notes that the Reveal Event is currently the worst kept secret in the industry, as everyone knows that it will take place in February – just like the PS4 back then. Whether he will ultimately be right, you will not have to be patient for so long, because as he says, almost everyone knows, only nobody speaks it out loud.
If the latest PS5 event announcements apply, Sony will officially send out the invitations later this week. And then at the latest someone will chat about it.
