Bungie reveals the details of the Guardian Games, the new event for Destiny 2 that will take place from next April 21 to May 12.
Destiny 2 is on the verge of receiving its first Olympics. Guardian Games is the star event during the Season of the Worthy, in which players will be tested in daily challenges tailored to their classes.
Just like in real life, everyone wants to do with gold. The competition will be divided according to the class your character uses. Sorcerers, Titans and Hunters face each other for achieving the highest score every 24 hours in the missions that Eva and Zavala will offer. The Tower, how could it be otherwise, becomes the main enclave in which to know the progress of the competition, which will incorporate markers in real time.
Medals are a thing of the past. Players will receive bronze, silver or gold class pieces based on their ranking. Each day a reward pack will be added based on your merits in combat, including the availability of an unprecedented exotic light machine gun: Natural Heir. A string of cosmetic objects, two ships, a hummingbird and more have also been incorporated.
Playing a good role in the tournament is crucial to Destiny 2's future. At the end of the Games, Bungie will add a special reminder in the Tower of those who have emerged victorious from the global leaderboard. The event will be free for all Shadow Bastion players. It will start on April 21 at 7:00 p.m. and will run until May 12. You have three weeks to show that your class is the best.
