Developer Echtra Games does not want to release its Shared World RPG, Torchlight Frontiers', until it's done. With a release this year it will be nothing, even if these plans were pretty ambitious.
As Max Schaefer, Founder and CEO of Echtra Games, explains, the game will not be released until it's done. To comment on:
"2019 was an early estimate. As you probably know, we're better at creating games than guessing data, but the bottom line is that the game is delivered when it's done. Shigeru Miyamoto once said, "A late game is only late until it's shipped. A bad game is bad until the end of time. "We want to take the time to get it right, but we're not quite ready to update or update our release date."
Torchlight Frontiers plays in the beloved universe of Torchlight I and II, which combines many of the key features and mechanics of the franchise that thrilled ARPG fans from around the world. The Torchlight Frontiers team is made up of experienced developers who have worked on genre-defining games such as the Diablo and Torchlight franchises in the past.
The release is expected at the earliest 2020.
