Trackhouse appoints Francesco Guidotti as MotoGP team manager immediately

Francesco Guidotti joins Trackhouse as MotoGP team manager with immediate effect

Trackhouse MotoGP has officially named Italian front‑liner Francesco Guidotti as its new team manager, effective from the Czech Grand Prix at Brno.

Guidotti, who stepped down from KTM in mid‑2024 following a turbulent spell, will steer the American outfit through the medium‑ and long‑term build‑out while team principal Justin Marks keeps day‑to‑day operations under the helm during the remainder of the season.

Davide Brivio, Trackhouse’s current operations chief, will depart at the end of the year to join Honda in 2027, taking on a broader marketing role instead of focusing solely on MotoGP.

Guidotti’s Rugby‑Style Touch to Trackhouse

After a successful tenure at Pramac, Guidotti accepted Marks’ offer due to the alignment of values and the opportunity to return to Aprilia, the teammate’s manufacturer and long‑time sponsor.

“I’m thrilled to be back and feel that Trackhouse, with its youth and professionalism, offers the perfect platform for growth,” Guidotti said, citing the team’s impressive milestones.

Brivio’s Transition and the 2027 Rider Quandary

Brivio, who has overseen the squad’s daily rhythm until now, will focus on Honda’s extended program once his contract expires.

Guidotti’s first priority, however, lies in understanding the 2027 rider line‑up: Aprilia’s preference for Enea Bastianini clashes with a unilateral option clause that could lock him at Tech3 for a third season.

The Search for a Second Seat

Trackhouse’s second “Aprilia‑bit” remains undecided as a roster of potential candidates—Manuel González, Luca Marini, and Raul Fernández—are all being considered.

Fernández’s recent Australian GP win and Mugello sprint victory have strengthened his case, but competition from the Moto2 champion and other prospects keeps the choice open.

Marks on the Strategic Direction

Justin Marks praised Guidotti’s racing pedigree and cultural fit, underscoring the excitement that his leadership brings to Trackhouse’s next MotoGP chapter.

Guidotti, in turn, acknowledges the challenge ahead, promising to contribute to the team’s growth while navigating the complexities of machinery supply and rider contracts.
