Justin Marks will get behind the wheel in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Naval Base Coronado, piloting Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado under Jockey’s 150‑year‑old support banner.
Spire Motorsports, founded in 2021 by Marks, has already captured fifteen Cup Series wins, most recently the 2025 Coca‑Cola 600. The team currently runs the No. 1 (Ross Chastain), No. 88 (Connor Zilisch) and No. 97 (Shane van Gisbergen) cars, with both Zilisch and van Gisbergen having already taken part in Spire trucks during the current season.
Marks returns for his 40th Truck Series start, the first since the 2022 Mid‑Ohio race. While he has yet to claim a Truck victory, his résumé includes two poles and a best finish of eighth, plus eight podiums across the Rolex Grand‑Am and IMSA series, highlighted by a 2009 class win at the Rolex 24‑Hour race at Daytona.
The crew has secured Jockey’s sponsorship, a longstanding partner of the military, for this inaugural event at San Diego’s naval base. “It’s a unique opportunity to drive the inaugural Truck Series race here,” Marks said. “I appreciate Spire’s backing and Jockey’s celebration of the armed forces.”
