Thomas Annunziata secured Friday’s dominant win in the ARCA Menards Series at Lime Rock Park, steering the No. 1 TRICON Garage Toyota to first place after leading 59 of 68 laps and finishing nearly ten seconds ahead of the field.
Dominant ARCA victory at Lime Rock Park
The 21‑year‑old held the lead from the early stages, never relinquishing the front as he crossed the finish line. His triumph lifts him to second in the ARCA championship, just eight points behind the current leader.
Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series turn‑around
After qualifying fourth, Annunziata carried the hope of sweeping the weekend from his second Truck Series start—his previous outing at the event had placed him 15th a year earlier.
The driver stayed within the top five for most of the race, until a restart melee inflicted significant damage to the right‑side door. Undeterred, he rebuilt momentum to sit second with over 20 laps remaining.
Under caution, the front of his No. 1 truck burst into flames. He stopped the vehicle, extracted himself without assistance, and completed the race in 29th place.
Medical review and championship implications
Following treatment at the in‑field care center, Annunziata was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Team officials reported that he is awake and alert, though no additional updates have been released.
Grant Enfinger capitalized on the confusion to win the race, ending a 40‑race winless streak for CR7 Motorsports. In the meantime, Annunziata’s performance keeps him on the cusp of the ARCA title, eight points shy of the top spot.
