Twitch Spain has shared the 12 most outstanding moments of the popular streaming platform during this 2020, month by month, with the streamers, figures, records and more than a year that is already coming to an end. And it is that after living a year full of difficulties due to the coronavirus health crisis, many users have found a new form of entertainment on Twitch, achieving record viewing figures.
According to Twitch, this year there have been “more than 6 million unique creators broadcasting live each month, with an average of 26.5 million daily visitors. Globally, the peak audience has increased to 2 million people consuming content on Twitch at the same time. Almost half of the hours consumed on the platform worldwide originate in Europe, and Spain accounts for a significant part of all of them ”.
12 unique moments of Twitch Spain 2020
Therefore, Twitch Spain has compiled the 12 most outstanding moments of this 2020, starting with TheGrefg, the third most viewed content creator in Spain, achieving in January the most watched moment on Twitch Spain with 534,822 users watching it at the same time. In February, Twitch Spain partner ElRichMC achieved a maximum viewership of 34,054 users with its particular spin off of the minicraft series UHC Spain.
In March, Twitch welcomed the largest number of celebrities, from professional soccer players and basketball players to rappers; Furthermore, Ibai Llanos together with LaLiga organized a FIFA tournament with a footballer representing his own team. In April, after a month of confinement in Spain, Twitch and ElRubius agreed to a two-year renewal. In May, for its part, Twitch welcomed personalities such as youtuber Jaime Altozano, DJ Kiko Rivera and soccer player Marco Asensio.
In June, Ibai Llanos organized its own Ibaivision after the cancellation of Eurovision, while in July, ElRubius participated in its first Rivals, also highlighting the new record of ElRichMC viewers with more than 100,000 users pending the Minecaft Rivals event.
