Sylvia Chambers leaves the Californian company, currently working on The Last of Us Part 2, and enters the also California studio.

Sylvia Chambers has left her position as an entertainer at Naughty Dog and has signed with The Initiative, the new internal studio of Xbox Game Studios whose first video game is for the moment unknown. The youngest study of the North American company, which will launch in late 2020 Xbox Series X, incorporates into its ranks one more veteran of the sector; in this case, for the animation department.

Chambers will not change cities since both companies are located in Santa Monica, California. This professional has experience as a 3D character animator in companies such as DICE, Electronic Arts, Zoic Studios or the aforementioned Naughty Dog, where she worked with a temporary contract during 2015 in the cinematic animation department of Uncharted 4; also in 2017, to then spend a full year on Naughty Dog from March 2019 to March 2020. During that period, Neil Druckmann's team has continued to work on The Last of Us Part 2, delayed indefinitely on PS4.

What do we know about the first game of The Initiative on Xbox

There is something that is guaranteed by Microsoft itself: the first video game of the study will be shown in 2020. The Initiative is based in California, United States, and has personalities such as Darrell Gallagher as leader of the study. Gallagher, who has already captained the Tomb Raider reboot, is joined by some "top names and talents from the industry's most respected developers," said Matt Booty, head of Microsoft Studios. To this we must add Brian Westergaard, producer of the latest God of War; Christian Cantamessa and Tom Sheperd of Rockstar Games; Daniel Neuburger of Crystal Dynamics; or Blake Fischer, from Microsoft.

The first game in the study already has a playable prototype, but, we insist, we still don't know anything about it, only that it will be of category AAA. Microsoft will offer news and "a few surprises" related to the future of Xbox this week.
