Uncharted filming loses the next director

Playfront

Even if there was already a fixed date for the Uncharted film next year, these plans are now on the verge again. So director Travis Knight has now said goodbye to the project. Apparently it just shouldn't be.

As Deadline reports, Knight (Bumblebee) could also no longer be part of the project for scheduling reasons, as one would like to have learned from sources. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg are still involved in the Uncharted film.

The film is also still headed by 10 Cloverfield Lane Director Dan Trachtenberg, while Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker will take over the screenplay. So far nothing is known about the story of the film, but it will probably, if at all, be based on the first Uncharted game, but should not be a 1: 1 retelling.

So whether the planned theatrical release on December 17, 2020 can be met is currently completely open again.
