The creators of Disintegration close their studio. V1 Interactive confirms the decision through its social networks. Marcus Lehto speaks up.
V1 Interactive closes its doors. The creators of Disintegration say goodbye to the video game industry after five years since its opening. In an open letter, the company has not explained the reasons for the end of this trip.
“Unfortunately we inform you that V1 Interactive officially closes. We want to thank all the talented people at V1, both past and present, who helped make these last 5 years wonderful. And thanks to the incredible community that has supported us ”, they said through Twitter.
At V1, our priority has been to the wellbeing of our employees.
We’ve been transparent with them about the state of things for months and are making this decision now so they still have ample time to search for new jobs while being supported by our studio. https://t.co/XJbWDxazto

The decision has not been made lightly. As Marcus Lehto, director of the study, says, the team was transparent with the general situation so that workers could seek new opportunities while being supported by the study: “At V1, our priority has been the well-being of our workers. We have been transparent with them about the state of affairs for months. We have made this decision now so that they have enough time to look for new jobs while being supported by the study, ”he revealed.
V1 Interactive’s trajectory focuses on its only published work: Disintegration. Last September we learned that the multiplayer servers were shutting down in November, just five months after its launch. However, his problem was at the base, as we said in our Reviews: “Disintegration is a game with an original approach and an excessively simple and limited execution, which does not manage to catch the player or offer them great moments. Too many times he falls into boredom, without ever being a disaster, be clear. A game can have errors and irregular elements, but it should avoid indifference, and that ends up happening too many times with what Disintegration proposes ”.
