Valorant: all characters and their abilities

We review all the details of the known characters and their abilities so far in the game from the creators of League of Legends.

Valorant, the new tactical shooter from Riot Games, parents of League of Legends, has been presented with impressions and gameplay from around the world, including in Meristation. But beyond the impressions and the first contact with this FPS that was known until now as one of the company's nameless projects, the game leaves us with other official details that we can know below: all its characters to date and each other's abilities. In this article we are going to review the context and abilities of the characters available so far: Phoenix, Jett, Viper, Sova, Cypher, Brimstone, Sage, Breach and Omen.

Phoenix (UK)

Phoenix is a character that shines for his combat style, where he sets fire to the battlefield with lights and fire. These are his main skills:

Hot Hands – launches fireballs that explode after a while or when they hit the ground. The area damages enemies and heals us.
Blaze – creates a wall of fire that blocks vision and damages anyone who passes through that area
Curveball – launches a curved flame that explodes into bright light after a while, blinding everyone looking in that direction
Run it Back – marks its location, and if it dies for the duration of the ability or when it expires, it resurrects in the marked area with all life

Jett (Korea)

Jet is an agile character with an evasive combat style to be able to take risks that others cannot. You can run circles around skirmishes and cut enemies before they know who it was.

Cloudburst – throws a fog that obstructs vision when impacting
Updraft – generates a wind that allows you to propel it
Tailwind – a dash from a short distance towards the direction you are moving
Blade Storm – is armed with different knives that do moderate damage and kill on the head. If you kill someone, they regenerate.

Viper (USA)

Character with different chemical devices that serve to control the battlefield and reduce the vision of the enemies.

Snakebite – projectile that explodes and generates a zone with acid damage
Poison Cloud – released as a gas, generates a cloud of smoke in a specific area. You can pick up the emitter again and launch it again after a short cooldown
Toxic Screen – emitter that creates a long line of toxic gas
Viper's Pit – emits a massive toxic cloud into a large area that stays as long as Viper stays within it. The enemies inside are highlighted for Viper

Sova (Rúsia)

Character that seeks, finds, and eliminates Russian-style enemies with efficiency and precision.

Shock bolt – throws an explosive screw that emits a pulse of damaging energy
Owl Drone – a controllable drone that can launch a dart that marks the enemies it touches
Recon Bolt – launches a sound emitter that marks nearby enemies. Can be destroyed
Hunter's Fury – three deadly energy blasts that if they touch the enemy, deal heavy damage and leave them marked

Cypher (Morocco)

No secret is safe from this character, who is always vigilant and controls any enemy movement.

Trapwire – a cable trap between two walls that marks enemies and can trap them
Cyber Cage – a remote trap that creates a cell that slows down enemies that pass through your area
Spycam – a remote camera that allows you to see who has passed through that area
Neural Theft – extract information from enemies, showing location and their living allies

Brimstone (USA)

A character who has a large arsenal to take advantage on the battlefield and who serves to lead the team to victory.

Incendiary – throw an incendiary grenade that deals fire damage in a specific area
Stim Beacon – marks an area called the Stim Beacon that gives rapid fire to players near it
Sky Smoke – Use your map to order orbital smoke screens that obscure vision in areas we choose
Orbital Strike – Launches a devastating orbital impact in an area that generates a lot of damage for several seconds

Sage (China)

Life insurance for the team wherever you go, capable of reviving fallen friends and offering calm on the battlefield.

Slow Orb – an orb that falls in a specific area: those who pass by go slower, at ground level and make a lot of noise when moving
Barrier Orb – a large, solid wall that can rotate
Healing Orb – restore life to an ally or to the character itself until the vitality is fully filled in a few seconds
Resurrection – marks the body of a companion, after a while revives with all life

Omen (?)

A character that hunts from the shadows, with teleports and as if it were a ghost.

Paranoia – a shadow that if it strikes a character, leaves him short-sighted
Shadow Walk – ability to dematerialize and teleport within a short distance after a short delay
Dark Cover – an Orb that explodes in a dark sphere and serves as a barrier to hide
From the Shadows – select any player on the map and transport yourself there, returning to the original area if they kill you.

Breach

Breach is the new Valorant agent, the ninth confirmed so far. He is an offensive character with assault tools and explosive charges, and his role in the game is to initiate attacks, collect points, and mislead enemies. These are his abilities.

Replica – A fusion charge that launches through walls and slowly explodes with good damage
Flash Point – Blinding charge that generates a rapid explosion through the wall, blinding those who are watching
Fracture Line – equips you with a seismic explosive: Holding the shot down increases the distance. Causes an earthquake to disorient players
Seismic Wave – triggers to send an earthquake that overcomes obstacles and is generated over a wide area
