The title of Riot Games, a multiplayer tactical shooter, remains on the brink of the absolute record that League of Legends recorded, also from Riot.
Valorant, the new tactical shooter from Riot Games, authors of League of Legends, has released beta on PC with extraordinary success on Twitch. Amazon's content relay platform, the most widely used for these purposes, has recorded a peak of up to 1.7 million simultaneous viewers; one step away from the League of Legends record.

Everything stays at home, we could say. Valorant has outperformed – on its first day available and through beta only – Fortnite, by Epic Games, in terms of simultaneous viewers. The battle royale phenomenon of the North American firm managed to gather 1.69 million people during the World Cup, but Riot's new bet has been imposed with 1.7 million last night, one step from the 1.74 million that managed to contain League of Legends long ago.
It is therefore less than 24 hours that Valorant has needed to hit the table and convey what is a clear declaration of intent: it is here to stay. In the absence of knowing if this success can be maintained or not over time, from Kotaku they confirm that Riot has assured that they have not paid any influencer to broadcast games of the video game on their personal Twitch account, so they are not artificial figures but totally organic.
Electronic Arts, for its part, did have a voluntary sponsorship with Apex Legends in 2019 so that well-known streamers disputed games live during the first days of availability of the title, a success that has managed to maintain itself over time with more than 50 million players currently.
