Valorant will implement the surrender option with patch 1.02

Riot Games confirms that they will add this new features with patch 1.02, although they have not specified how it works.

Imagine one of those games where the opposing team is pounding you. The chances of victory are nil and what remains is just a procedure, a waste of time. Until now, players had to stick around until the end no matter what happened, but during the first session of the Ask Valorant, a new series of articles on the video game blog, the studio announced that patch 1.02 will introduce the possibility of surrender.

Riot Games invites us to read the patch notes when they come out, since they will take advantage to explain their operation in detail. Therefore, it is unknown whether using this option will penalize users who choose to surrender their weapons in any way. There are no specific details on how it can be used and under what circumstances. We will have to wait a little longer for the official information.

Welcome with review bombing

Valorant is Riot Games’ new multiplayer bet. It is a first person shooter designed to play in teams. For a few weeks, it was in the closed beta phase, but the title came out as free-to-play on June 2. At that time, the work of the creators of League of Legends was received like many other current developments: with review bombing on Metacritic. Like what happened with The Last of Us Part 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a host of angry users decided to rate it with low notes to affect their arithmetic mean.

Despite the fact that Riot Games does not rule out the launch of Valorant on the console (in fact, it has already carried out tests with prototypes), at the moment the experience is focused exclusively on the PC. League of Legends, on the other hand, will have a version for consoles (and for mobile devices) in the future.
