Platinum Games may be working on a remaster of their PS3 hit 'Vanquish', which has surprisingly appeared in the Xbox Store. A PS4 version is also likely.
In the Microsoft Store the new version with 4K support is advertised, which is to appear already on 20 February 2020. All pretty precise information, just to be a mistake. The announcement could therefore be made in the coming days.
The game says:
"The iconic space shooter is back. There is a shortage of resources on the overpopulated Earth and it is hoped that the solar-powered space colony of Providence will be supported. When it is suddenly conquered by a group of mutineers using their technology to destroy entire cities, a specially trained unit of space marines must recapture them. With the experimental BLADE weapon system capable of scanning and copying existing weapons and storing up to three of these weapons, DARPA agent Sam Gideon must infiltrate the conquered Providence space colony, mow down legions of futuristic enemies, and shut down the energy transmitter that sustains life on Earth threatened."
Vanquish got along well with the players and critics, but was never considered an official successor. So whether it actually comes to a remaster, you may learn in the next few days.
