Version 1.4 of Stardew Valley will arrive on November 26 on PC; first notes

ConcernedApe confirms the release date of version 1.4 of Stardew Valley on PC. We know the first details about the changes it will include.

ConcernedApe, the only person after the development of Stardew Valley, has definitely set the release date of version 1.4, the next "big stop" that the farmer universe expected to receive. It was on November 26 the chosen day. Together with the news, we have been able to know the first details about its content, although the complete notes will be kept until days before. First it will arrive on PC, and hopes not to delay its launch in console.

According to the creator, one of his goals with this update was to reach the polishing point that he always wanted to reach with the game. "I always wanted to fix the main problems you have reported, correct control failures and how the game felt, as well as include a lot of improvements to the 'quality of life' to make it much more agile to play," he says in the Stardew Valley official blog post.

A milestone in the development of Stardew Valley

Warn that almost "every aspect of the game" has been retouched, although they have not yet transcended the details in depth. Leave as an example the wild hook, whose use was void until now and will now catch twice as many fish. Or the events with your partner: each of the characters will have their own post 14 hearts event after marriage.

But the 1.4 marks another special milestone for the road that Eric Barone has crossed. After seven years working alone, this time it was the first to have had external help. “I formed a small team at the beginning of the year to help me continue working in Stardew Valley,” he says. While his initial plan was to complete the update himself, he finally had to count on help. “Finishing the 1.4 was thanks to the help of two other people. Currently we are just another person and I within the team. ” Those extra hands were a relief on the technical and programming side.

As a final note, Eric confirms that he is working on a new project not yet announced and that despite extending to the collaboration of other workers, this work will follow a solo development, as conceived by Stardew Valley.
