Warframe: the great Duviri Paradox expansion is delayed until 2021

The developers have reflected on the schedule and what's new in a video recorded from home by the coronavirus.

Duviri Paradox, the great expansion of Warframe, will not come out until 2021. This has been announced by Digital Extremes in the third streaming that they have broadcast since the coronavirus crisis began. In a title with these characteristics, where the flow of content and news must be constant, it is especially important that the work does not stop. In these circumstances, the team has organized to work from home, something that has not prevented the delay of the expansion, which will add a massive open world.

In any case, the program has served to trace the roadmap of the video game until TennoCon begins, on July 11. Due to COVID-19, TennoCon 2020 will be held this year in a completely digital way. All in all, the developer Digital Extremes has confirmed some of the new content that is yet to come. In addition to Ash Deluxe and Khora Deluxe, Nightwave Season 3 is coming to all platforms in the coming days. Furthermore, the release of The Deadlock Protocol is set between May and June (full details, at this link). Finally, a hard mode is added to star maps.

Why is the expansion delayed?

Digital Extremes has explained that Duviri Paradox is not on this year's agenda because they have decided to focus on the next Warframe update. The main reason is, of course, the coronavirus crisis. As it is an entity expansion, the team has seen it necessary to delay it because they do not have the necessary resources, since the teleworking model has its limitations. Therefore, fans of the video game will have to wait for the situation to normalize so that the developer can focus their attention on it.

Warframe is a free-to-play title that is available on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game is confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
