The next content update to come to Fortnite Battle Royale is patch 13.40. However, at the time of writing this news, Epic Games has not yet announced its date and time of launch and implementation in the video game. We tell you everything we know about patch 13.40, belonging to Season 3 of the Fortnite Battle Pass Chapter 2 just below:
Fortnite: when will patch 13.40 arrive?
The latest Fortnite Battle Royale patch is 13.30, and it’s the current version of the game. It was implemented on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Although Epic Games has not given a specific arrival date for patch 13.40, we can deduce when it will arrive using datamining tools to delve into the game’s files.
Patch 13.30 added the challenges for Week 6 and Week 7 of Season 3 of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass. However, considering that the Week 8 challenges will be activated on Thursday, August 6, and that they are not yet in the game, we can safely say that patch 13.40 will arrive in the week that begins on August 3. Patches are typically deployed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so patch 13.40 may arrive on Tuesday 4 or Wednesday 5.

On the patch you can expect the basics: new cosmetics (skins, backpacks, hang gliders …), bug fixes and various bugs, and new challenges for at least a couple of weeks to be added. We don’t expect cars to hit Fortnite with patch 13.40 as Epic Games announced that its release would be postponed “several weeks.”
