We reviewed the names in front of Cloud Chamber for the next installment of BioShock, among which there are many familiar faces of the original games.
Little by little, some of the names that are working on the new installment of BioShock and that make up the leadership of Cloud Chamber, the studio in charge of the game, are emerging. Until now we only knew Kelley Gilmore, director of this new developer and first woman in history at the head of one of the 2K Games teams. However, several familiar faces of the industry have been added to it, which in the last hours have announced their involvement in the project through social networks.
So … I told you surprised would be on the horizon. Surprise!
I can now reveal that I have joined Cloud Chamber Studios with 2K as Associate Creative Director on the next iteration of the Bioshock franchise. β₯ οΈ
Very proud to be working with this fantastic team. https://t.co/18PsmR3OIb

Under Gilmore, we remember, he has 22 years of experience in the company and has participated in more than 40 different games, with a crucial role in the works of Firaxis Games (XCOM and Civilization), for example, Melissa MacCoubrey, responsible of the script and the narrative of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. The screenwriter leaves Ubisoft to raise the next Rapture / Columbia and makes it "very proud to be part of a fantastic team." We will also find in the credits of this new installment Shawn Elliot, who was an Irrational Games level designer in BioShock Infinite and who on this occasion will take another step in his career and ascend to lead game designer of Cloud Chamber. Between his previous work and this one, Elliot has finished growing and consolidating at Arkane Studios, where he collaborated in Prey's reboot.
I don't do much social media outside of miniature painting, but it appears the project I've been working as lead game designer on has been announced as the next Bioshock. More excited about this than anything I've shipped so far and I was totally thrilled with those.

Gathering the team of the above
Together with Gilmore, MacCoubrey and Elliot will be Hogarth de la Plante and Scott Sinclair, the new creative director and art director (respectively) of the next BioShock. Interestingly, Hogarth had the position of his partner in BioShock 2, where he was art director, and was succeeded by Sinclair in BioShock: Infinite. That is to say that if you liked the artistic section of Columbia, Booker and Elizabeth, that of the next installment is at the hands of the same person. And if you liked the second part, your manager doesn't go very far either. It would be worth mentioning Jonathan Pelling, creative director of Infinite and whose role on this occasion has not yet been revealed. From GameSpot they also point out that the team would finish it by completing several developers hired by 2K Games and coming directly from the latest Call of Duty and Star Wars.
Although Ken Levine will not be involved (he is immersed in the next work of his new studio, Ghost Story Games), what Kelley Gilmore had promised in his first crew statements is fulfilled: βIt is a highly experienced group in the which includes several of those responsible for the creation, development and current visibility of BioShock. β Everything seems to indicate that the series is in good hands and, according to the latest information, may even be closer than it seems.
