The CCXP19 of Brazil leaves us the first and spectacular breakthrough of the new DC film along with the announcement of Shazam 2 and a new spin-off of the Amazons.
Here is the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, the new Warner Bros. and DC movie that adapts the adventures of Wonder Woman belonging to the Expanded Universe of DC and played by actress Gal Gadot. Thus, and after its last delay announced in autumn 2018, we can finally see the Amazon in action after its first individual film and its appearances in both Batman v Superman and Justice League. This was presented by Warner Bros. in the framework of the recent CCXP19 in Sao Paulo, in Brazil, also announcing new projects for DC.
New spin-off of the Amazons and Shazam 2
Thus, this new adventure takes us to 1984, as its title advances us, a totally eighties film directed again by Patty Jenkins, which repeats with Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in the role of Steve Trevor; on this occasion, Cheetah, Diana Price's rival played by Kristen Wiig, as well as the villain Max Lord, played by Pedro Pascal, the protagonist of the successful Star Wars Mandalorian at Disney +.
It is expected that Wonder Woman 1984 will premiere on June 5, 2020, a new DC Expanded Universe movie that we will see how it ends up fitting into a convulsive cinematic universe like Warner Bros., with already canceled arches that give way to other new projects like the trilogy of the new Batman with Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves.
In this sense, in the San Paulo event itself, more DC projects have been confirmed, such as a new Wonder Woman spin-off starring the Amazons that we can see in their films, or Shazam 2, which will arrive in the future with other movies like Aquaman 2 or the new The Suicide Squad.
