For 2K Games, this year's 'WWE 2K20' is a real disaster that has come with so many bugs that shoppers shout loudly for refunds and for many it has some entertainment value at best, but not in a positive sense. The developer changes revenge itself so faster than you would have imagined at 2K.
The new developer Visual Concepts has now apparently drastic consequences, where it probably came to layoffs in the double-digit range. Apparently, many developers go there voluntarily, in order to be no longer associated with the game, as this could damage their own reputation.
A former writer of the WWE 2K series says:
"I've heard of a two-digit number of people in the team who left the team. They just quit, saying, "Man, I do not want that to stink of me for a long time." I do not care what I do. I'm leaving. I take my things and go. "
If that's not enough, 2K Games should also have reduced the budget for the development of the series, which would now even less money available, as it has already spent for WWE 2K20. Whether so in the near future even a WWE game appears, could therefore be questionable.
2K Games has not commented on the report so far.
