Aaron Greenberg is confident that the architecture of the new console will allow that long-awaited figure to become the norm when generation begins.
Microsoft aims to make Xbox Series X a console capable of guaranteeing the always-desired 60 FPS. The refresh rate of the current generation has generally been around 30 FPS; giving priority in many cases to resolution. The American company already said it weeks ago: they will prioritize the performance of the games.
After the presentation of the first 13 confirmed games for the third-party console on the Inside Xbox, Microsoft is already working on the July one where they will do the same with their first party studios, those within the Xbox Game Studios label where names such as Halo, Forza or Hellblade. But "60 FPS will be the standard, although the architecture will allow us to reach 120 FPS," he recalls.

"Optimized" games on Xbox Series X
That was also one of the most repeated figures during the past week: the ability to play up to 120 FPS on compatible televisions. At the moment, we know that DiRT 5 will be able to do it, although we don't know at the cost of how much cut in its resolution.
All the games presented at the Microsoft digital event had the distinctive seal of "Optimized" for Xbox Series X; Although not all will enjoy the same improvements within the following that we are going to comment. Of course, at least one. In this article, we review what enhancements each has confirmed, ranging from 4K resolution to refresh rates up to 120 FPS, DirectStorage, hardware-accelerated DirectX ray tracing, ultra-fast load time, or Smart Delivery, which will ensure that we only buy each game once: we run the best version regardless of the Xbox model we have.
All in all, Xbox Series X plans its launch for Christmas 2020 with more than 140 studios working on the console and at a price yet to be determined. In June there will be another edition of Inside Xbox, although no more details of that appointment have come out. You can check here everything we know about the console.
