Xbox Series X analyst: “US sales potential is being underestimated”

Benji Sales, an expert market consultant in the United States, shows that the power of the Microsoft brand is in a great position.

Although consultants such as DFC Intelligence believe that PS5 will sell more than Xbox Series X over the next generation – they also point to a possible delay of both due to the coronavirus – not all market analysts specialized in video games think the same. Benji Sales, knowledgeable of the United States market, has reflected on the sales potential of the Microsoft machine, which he considers to be in a much better place than people think.

"Many people forget how strong the Xbox brand is in the United States"

"To be completely honest, the more I evaluate things the more I think people are underestimating the sales potential of the next generation of Xbox consoles in the United States," he begins by saying. "I think it will perform much better in that market than some people think (globally always in favor of PS5)," he continues. Where there seems to be consensus in all market analsitas is that both PS5 and Xbox Series X will have a massive demand, which will be great successes.

In addition, Benji assures that, although the Xbox One generation has had a much lower performance than expected, in North America it has managed to stay behind PS4 at a much lower distance. "Many people forget how strong the Xbox brand is in the United States," he concludes.

Although in Europe the difference throughout this generation has been abysmal (in Spain, for example PS4 has had rates of about 2,500 weekly units for 350 weekly Xbox One units); the situation in North America is not like that. In fact, in the PS3-Xbox 360 generation it was Microsoft who prevailed in terms of market share. Benji is clear that the battle is not decided on the other great continent.
