Chris Grannell, who participated in the development of Killzone, believes that the Microsoft machine will have enormous power; higher than PS5.
The video game industry is reacting to the revelation of the final technical specifications of both PS5 and Xbox Series X. Although there seems to be a consensus that both systems will be a great step forward compared to the current generation of consoles, what is also not raising doubts is that Microsoft's option has more power than Sony's, even if speed wins PlayStation 5. For Chris Grannell, a former Sony designer with experience in Killzone 2 and WipEout, the difference in power of Xbox Series X with PS5 is "astonishing".
"I have spoken to a few developers and they have confirmed that the power difference is staggering," says Grannel. However, they say this does not mean you cannot make good games on PS5. All those fanboys clearly do not care about this and they are already making noise ”, he adds.
I've chatted to a few devs and they have confirmed the power difference is quite staggering. However they have said it doesn't mean you can't make good games on the PS5. These fanboys clearly don't care about that and are massively rattled.

According to other developers in the industry, such as Andrew Maximov, former Technical Director at Naughty Dog, or Dietmar Souch, graphic engineer at Intel, PS5's SSD memory can make a difference when it comes to data access; a very fast console. However, in terms of power and graphics capacity, it seems that – on paper – those 12 TFLOPS of Xbox Series X will allow the technical ceiling of this one to be higher than what PlayStation 5 can achieve with its 10.28 TFLOPS.
