Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: the length of its epilogue revealed

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: the length of its epilogue revealed

‘Connected Futures’ can be played without the need to complete the game; that is, we can start it independently from the beginning.

The latest issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu has revealed that the unpublished epilogue that will come incorporated with Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch, Connected Futures, will have an estimated duration of around 10 and 12 hours; which can be extended up to 20 total hours if we do all the additional missions.

In this way, apart from the main campaign – which can perfectly last 60 hours – we will have to add this content that was not included in the original work of Wii by Monolith Soft., Nor the reissue of New Nintendo 3DS. This additional content of the definitive edition of the famous JRPG of the Japanese company has been designed with a new combat system and an additional scenario, not only the extra story campaign.

The Famitsu issue also reveals other interesting aspects for fans. On the one hand, according to Tetsuya Takahashi, director of the work, the game has been developed with the main team divided into three: one, pending Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition; another, moving forward with an upcoming new game — to our knowledge, participating in the new The Legend of Zelda — and another portion collaborating on both projects.

Finally, it transcends from his words that the soundtrack of the title, now remastered, has not been re-recorded in full, but has been arranged with programs to increase the quality of the original orchestra. You can choose between both options. Regarding the graphic section, nothing we already know: one of his biggest concerns was none other than doing a remastering where the visual section stood out significantly.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will arrive on Nintendo Switch this May 29 in physical format and digital format via eShop (13.6 GB download) at a recommended price of 59.99 euros. Your pre-download is now available, but you cannot start playing until 00:00 CEST on May 29. You can read our final impressions with the game here.
