Yakuza: Like a Dragon will not allow transfer of save data from PS4 to PS5

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will not allow transfer of save data from PS4 to PS5

The title will hit the market on the launch day of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but it won’t be released on Sony’s new console until March.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will not be available on PlayStation 5 on November 19, the console’s release date. This has been confirmed by RGG Studios through social networks, where they have reported that the improved version for Sony’s new generation system will go on sale on March 2. The rest of the versions (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S) will be published on November 10. In the same tweet, it has been ensured that the saved games of the PlayStation 4 version will not be able to be transferred to PlayStation 5.

On the other hand, the same will not happen with the consoles of the Xbox family. Still, those with a copy on Sony’s current console will be able to upgrade for free when the enhanced game is available in March. However, they will have to assess whether to wait to have the new platform in their hands, since the Yakuza titles are not exactly short. At the moment, it is unknown if this will occur in other video games on the console. Marvel’s Spider-Man, which cannot be updated for free to its remastering, will not have cross-save either.

Goodbye to the action combat system

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a new beginning for the saga. After so many video games starring Kazuma Kiryu, it is Ichiban Kasuga’s turn. The change is also reflected in the combat system, which is no longer focused on action, but on turns.

PlayStation 5 will go on sale on November 19 in Spain and the rest of the European territory (in the United States and other countries it will do so on November 12). Its two models only differ by the presence or absence of the reader, so that the rest of the characteristics are exactly the same. The price is 499.99 euros and 399.99 euros respectively.
