The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is slated to launch exclusively on Switch 2 on November 12, 2026, according to a Swedish retailer’s estimated schedule.
Swedish store Retrospelbutiken posted the date on its site after a Reddit user, Homunculus7, spotted the listing. While shown as an estimate, it aligns with Nintendo’s earlier statement that the remake would arrive in late 2026.
Nintendo is set to confirm the date during its 40th‑Anniversary Direct on September 8, where new gameplay is expected to accompany the announcement. A week later, a standard Direct will follow.
Contrast this with an August listing from a Swiss retailer that put the release at December 1. The newer data suggest the former is the actual target, while the latter likely served as a placeholder.
Coinciding with the same date, GTA 6 pre‑loads begin on November 12, setting a winter release rhythm for both major titles, each tied to its flagship platform—Nintendo for the Zelda remake and Rockstar for GTA 6’s timed console exclusivity.
During its June 2026 Nintendo Direct, a 90‑second teaser presented Link as a younger boy without a fairy companion, teasing his journey through Hyrule and building anticipation for the remake.
