With a second postponement, IO Interactive announced that 007 First Light Switch 2 will launch on March 18 2027.
Release details and exclusive assets
The Switch 2 port will ship with an exclusive GoldenEye pre‑order suit and all bonuses announced for the 2026 release, including the Valhalla Protocol TacSim update, New Game+, Photo Mode and a roster of new cosmetics.
Developers initially aimed for a September entry, but shifted to March to polish gameplay for the new hardware.
Pre‑order packages and Deluxe upgrade
Pre‑orders are now available for $69.99 through the Nintendo Store and retailers such as Amazon. The base price automatically includes a free Deluxe Edition upgrade, delivering Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun, and Gleaming Pen gadgets.
The Deluxe Edition also grants four customised outfits, drawn from classic Bond films: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator.
Purchasing the Amazon‑exclusive Specialist Edition adds the Classic Tuxedo outfit and the same GoldenEye suit seen in Pierce Brosnan’s 1995 film.
Performance prospects and future content
A newly released trailer shows missions featuring the GoldenEye suit, but the studio has not disclosed the final frame‑rate. Based on the Switch 2 release‑date teaser, the game should operate above 30 fps.
IO Interactive confirmed additional story DLC focused on supporting character Bawma, slated for a later release, ensuring continued content beyond launch.
With full launch DLC, a free deluxe upgrade, and a lineup of hardware‑specific bonuses, 007 First Light Switch 2 is set to deliver a comprehensive spy‑action experience for the next generation of console players.
