Square Enix and developer People Can Fly today give first gameplay impressions of their new brand ‘Outriders’, a CoOp RPG shooter that was announced in 2019.

Outriders is a mix of RPG and shooter set in a brand new, dark sci-fi universe. While humanity is suffering in Enoch’s trenches, the player creates his own outrider to embark on a journey across the hostile planet. The gripping story takes place in a diverse world: players hunt for a mysterious signal and explore cities, forests, mountains and deserts.

Outriders combines exciting firefights with brute skills and an arsenal of unusual weapons and equipment. The game from one of the best shooter developers in the industry offers countless hours of fun.

“It is incredibly exciting to finally reveal what we’ve been working on for the past four years,” said Bartosz Kmita, Game Director at People Can Fly. “OUTRIDERS is our first game since we left Epic Games. It has developed from the mere idea of a game we always wanted to make to the most ambitious project People Can Fly has ever worked on. ”

OUTRIDERS will be released for PlayStation 4 and PS5 in late 2020, as Square Enix also confirms today. Further details on the game will be available on February 13 as part of a livestream event with game director Bartosz Kmita, lead writer Joshua Rubin and moderator Malik Forté. This starts on Thursday, February 13th at 9:00 p.m. German time and can be followed directly on Twitch.
