Dragon Ball Z Kakarot: what we miss in the endgame (and is feasible via update)

What we expected to have once the main story is over and is not available … at least for now.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has been one of the great successes of the commercial license of Akira Toriyama, with surprising sales in its first week that aim to be another millionaire game as it has happened with FighterZ and Xenoverse 2. Now that the title does and a few weeks that is on sale, we revisit it to find everything we believe is missing in the game's endgame, once we finish the main story. Elements that surely can be added via update, since some of them have been announced for some time. What do we miss in Kakarot's endgame?

Be able to play side missions that we have not completed

It is surely one of the elements that cries most to heaven. The title has a series of sidequests that must be performed in their arcs and specific moments, if they are not in limbo and cannot be overcome in the endgame. An unpleasant surprise for those who would like to make the story first and then complete 100% of the game. It is announced that the Trunks time machine will serve to revisit those moments, but this update has not been given and here we are still hoping to relive past chapters in some way.

Collect and know how many original Dragon Ball memories we have left

Throughout our journey through the game we find memories that evoke great moments of Dragon Ball. They are small prints of momentazos of the anime, when Goku is small, who are used to being in areas where these situations occurred. Unfortunately, despite having a simply spectacular Z encyclopedia, there is no count of these memories, which could well be compiled in that encyclopedia.

Use all characters in story mode

Another of the setbacks we are seeing in Kakarot's endgame is that we are not allowed to use all the characters we control during story mode. Yes, that means we stay with honey on our lips if we want to do crazy things with Gotenks or Vegetto, two fighters with their own moveset and who have their moment of glory in the final and most spectacular stretch of the title. The possibility of having it in some way, even if it is as a technique fusing the main characters that we do have in the template, would be an interesting addition.

Change the look of controllable characters

Something that the game takes great care of, with some licenses, yes, it is the appearance of the characters during the story of Dragon Ball Z. But once finished, we are left with the still photo of their appearance for what remains of endgame. For once we have Gohan with the clothes that Darbura faces, Vegeta with summer clothes or Goku with the training clothes in the hyperbolic time room, it would be a great tip to be able to freely choose the clothes and appearance of the characters in the endgame stretch of the game. The work is already done, just leave it available.

Naturally, this article is based on the feasible elements to add in the endgame, and we do not delve into playable or concept changes that the game could have to improve. Do you expect them to add any of these things, in addition to the announced time machine?
