Ghost of Tsushima uncovers his official art book

Dark Horse Books and Sucker Punch will edit The Art of Ghost of Tsushima, a volume that mimics Japanese aesthetics.

The announcement of the release date of Ghost of Tsushima, the expected title of the creators of inFAMOUS, was accompanied by all the information about the different editions. The game will also feature an art book, as previously reported. Sucker Punch Productions has announced its collaboration with Dark Horse Books for the publication of The Art of Ghost of Tsushima, a volume that will review in its pages the creative process of the video game, which is set in medieval Japan, during the continuous attacks of the Mongols .

The book, which is inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, carries "all the details" about these "vast and exotic" lands. It includes "elegant illustrations" of the characters, locations and diagrams of the fighting style and techniques of the samurai, along with a selection of storyboards and renderings, which reflect "the expressive cinematic moments of the game."

This volume of 208 full-color pages will go on sale in 2020 and is now available to book at the American Amazon store. At the moment, there is no news about the launch in Spain. The price in the United States is $ 49.99.

The way of the samurai?

The story of the video game puts the player in the shoes of Jin Sakai, a samurai warrior who has abandoned the path of his masters. Shimura, lord of Tsushima, has raised him as a father. From his earliest childhood, the aristocrat trained Jin and taught him the way of the samurai, but over time, he left behind his teacher's guidelines until he became a ghost. His fiercest enemy, Khotum Khan, descendant of the great Genghis Khan, will enter Japan with the intention of destroying everything he sees in his path. Jin Sakai must stop his progress with his katana and his warrior skills.

Ghost of Tsushima will go on sale on June 26 exclusively for PlayStation 4, almost a month after the premiere of The Last of Us Part 2, another of the most anticipated games of the Sony machine.
