Samsung Access, a subscription service for television that will include Xbox Game Pass

The Korean company launches a new service that combines the acquisition of a television with other additional advantages in the US.

Samsung has announced Samsung Access for television. It is a monthly subscription service that will be compatible with some of its products, although at the moment it will only be available in the United States. The Korean company reports that one of the services that will be included in the package is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which allows access to a catalog of more than 100 video games, both on Xbox and on PC.

When trying to buy one of the items, you can see that an 8-month subscription to the Microsoft service is included. In addition, other offers such as Showtime, Sling, YouTube Music, YouTube Premium and YouTube TV are also offered. Samsung Access also includes Premium Care, which allows customers to receive installation help, as well as coverage for mechanical or electrical damage, among other benefits. All those who decide to subscribe will pay monthly for television. After 27 months, they can return it without any additional payments.

What does Xbox Game Pass offer?

Xbox Game Pass has become one of the most important services for Microsoft. Beyond consoles, Microsoft intends to promote customer loyalty, which is why it also launched on PC. Additionally, all new video games developed by Xbox Game Studios have been published since launch on this service. The purchase of studios like Obsidian Entertainment, Ninja Theory or Double Fine responds to the idea of nurturing Xbox Series X with video games, but also its entire ecosystem.

Those at Redmond are simultaneously exploring cloud technology. Through Project xCloud, which has entered the beta phase, players will be able to enjoy Xbox video games on mobile platforms and other devices (for the moment it is compatible with Android). Streaming still has a long way to go, but the terrain is already being fertilized for that future in the cloud.
