Persona 4 Golden, listed in the Steam database with tab and icons

The famous Atlus video game will hit Valve’s digital store eventually. Registration is official and is expected to be released soon.

Persona 4 Golden has appeared registered in the Steam database with its own product file and the images that it will incorporate in its main icons when it appears in the search engine of the Valve store. The popular Atlus video game, one of the most beloved JRPGs in the series, will eventually come to the computer based on the expanded version that was already playable on PS Vita back in 2012.

Pavel Sjundik, developer member of SteamDB, has confirmed that it is Persona 4 Golden, but it does not indicate when it will be available on Steam; neither its price nor the possible new features incorporated, if any. From Gematsu, the companion Sal Romano claims to have sources that place the announcement on June 13, during the celebration of the PC Gaming Show 2020, where Atlus has already confirmed presence.

Possible announcement on PC Gaming Show 2020; Atlus will be there

It seems to be all tied up so that it is so; however, the announcement of the video game is not official at the time of writing this article. The source also ensures that Persona 4 Golden will be released on Steam this week, shortly after the end of the presentation.

In the event of the announcement, PlayStation would thus lose an exclusivity agreement that has been extended for many years on its platform. Although it will continue being so on consoles, the Persona saga would finally make the leap to PC. For Sony, maintaining this exclusivity in the main series —without counting spin offs or derivatives— is something “very important”.

In our original Reviews of Persona 4 Golden, rated in this house with a 9.5 out of 10, we said: “The edition that Atlus now offers for PSVita is a style exercise in which absolutely everything that did not shine with light is improved own on PS2. From the graphics section to the matches, through the Social Links and ending with the extra material that is offered to both new and old players, it is difficult to imagine a remake superior to this one ”.
