Ghost of Tsushima for PS4 is already gold: development ends

Ghost of Tsushima development is now complete. Everything is ready for launch on July 17 exclusively for PlayStation 4.

Sucker Punch confirms that Ghost of Tsushima has reached its gold phase, which means that its development has ended. In a short tweet, the company comments that it is “the culmination of years of hard work” for the team. It will arrive exclusively for PS4 on July 17.

We first heard about it during Paris Games Week 2017, shortly after being part of the last edition of E3 in which Sony actively participated. Almost 3 years in which silence has been the protagonist, until this May, when in a State of Play dedicated exclusively to his figure he showed his qualities at the controls.

The studio based in Bellevue, Washington, immerses us in a new intellectual property eleven years after having done the same with Infamous. More than two decades linked to the world of video games in which names such as Sly Cooper, Cole MacGrath and Delsin Rowe, among others, resonate.

Ghost of Tsushima will place us on the shoulders of the samurai warrior Jin Sakai, one of the last survivors of his clan after a terrible battle against the Mongol army. Tsushima Island is the only remaining barrier for troops commanded by Khotun Khan to enter through mainland Japan. You will have to reclaim the island and stop the advance of the enemy.

The open world of the game is somewhat atypical, according to what has been revealed. Forget for a moment those icon-ridden maps: the signs on the stage guide you to the content to be made. A plume of smoke or the noise of katanas may indicate that something requires your attention. You can also choose the style of play, if you prefer direct violence or a stealth approach. You have the power to decide the type of experience you want to live.

As we said, Ghost of Tsushima will be released on July 17 only on PS4.
