The Pokémon GO Community Day this September is getting closer and closer. Porygon was the winner of the popular survey, so it will be this species of Kanto that we will see more frequently in the beloved monthly meeting that has had to adapt to social distancing measures during this year 2020. Here are all the details and our recommendations.
Date: Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 11:00 to 17:00; play wherever you want
We start with the schedules: September Community Day will begin this Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time). A total of six hours as a measure no longer so exceptional, since we have spent many months with six hours instead of three. Exclusive move for Porygon: Triack
During the celebration of Community Day, all Porygon that we evolve into Porygon2 (or up to two hours after it ends) will be able to learn Triack when they evolve into Porygon-Z. This is the first time that the Porygon race will be able to learn this interesting movement, which has the possibility of reducing the opponent’s attack as well as their defense.
Regarding bonuses, one of x3 in experience points per capture will be activated, while the incenses will be activated during the event lasting 3 hours (180 minutes).
- Porygon needs 25 candies and Upgrade to evolve to Porygon2
- Porygon2 needs 100 candies and a Sinnoh Stone to evolve into Porygon-Z
Recommendations for Community Day September 2020
As is usual in our Community Day guides, we recommend that you take all kinds of objects during the days prior to the Community Day celebration so that this Sunday you do not miss anything. We highly recommend that you have plenty of incenses, which will make it easier for Pokémon to get close to your environment — especially if you’re playing from home. Also, Pinia Berries and Silver Pinia Berries, objects that will guarantee that we win more candies for each capture. If we have a shortage to evolve to Porygon, it is a simple way to facilitate reaching the 25 candies we need by evolution.
For its part, as we surely want a Porygon with good genetics for the Trainer Battles or the GO Fighting League, we recommend that when we find one with good IVs we put it as a partner. Finally, among all the types of Poké Ball, the Super Ball and Ultra Ball are the most recommended. If you are in a hurry, Frambu Berries are the best company to facilitate the capture process. And if you want to level up, by using Lucky Egg at the beginning of Community Day you can gain experience much faster (x2) with each capture.
How to get Improvement easily?
Upgrade is an essential item to evolve into Porygon, which requires the exposure of 25 candies and this item to evolve into Porygon2. Without it, no matter how many candies we have, it will be impossible to carry out evolution and learn Triatack.
- Mega Battle Challenge Event Week: From Friday, September 11, 2020 at 8:00 AM to Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 10:00 PM (local time), all Trainers will be able to earn an Upgrade and a Sinnoh Stone by completing the Temporary investigation of the event.
- September 20: All Trainers will be able to earn up to three Upgrades and three Sinnoh Stones by completing the Temporal Research tasks.
- Spinning Photodisks at PokéStops or Gyms. You have a chance to earn a Boost on the seventh consecutive day of your weekly investigation tasks.
