Call of Duty: Modern Warfare adds Gun Game Mode, two Special Operations and more

Update 1.09 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC with playable news and general balance adjustments.

When Infinity Ward published the minimum and recommended requirements of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it was shocked that 175 GB were requested on the hard disk. The North American developer clarified later that the figure included downloadable content and patches that would be released afterwards. Based on the weight of the new patch, which adds Gun Game Mode, among other things, you can begin to sketch the reason for that requirement.

The new update, 1.09, also implemented two new Special Operations and a classic Spec Ops mission. The aforementioned Gun Game Mode, which was also available in Call of Duty: Mobile, invites the player to end all rivals. The peculiarity is that when you kill an opponent, the weapon improves, while if the opposite occurs, the level of the weapon worsens. The one who gets access to all of them wins.

Other patch news

The news does not end with the new game modes. The three-star classification system returns, so that the time we spend in the game will be valued and experience will be shared at the end of it, depending on the time it takes to complete the mission. Realistic Mode adds a playlist that covers Domination, Hardpoint, HQ and Low Confirmed modes.

Among the balance adjustments there is a fourth nerfeo of the already famous shotgun 725, which has undergone several adjustments since the launch of the game. Yes, the sounds of the steps are checked again and the duration of Dead Silence is corrected.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC since last October. Activision and Infinity Ward have focused on solving the problems and balancing a video game that, on the other hand, will continue to add content throughout the year 2020.
