Marvel’s Avengers: clarified the role of Hank Pym (Ant-Man) in the game

The title of Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics continues to be detailed through small strokes. There will be news of new characters in 2020.

Marvel's Avengers will feature at least six playable launch characters, but the Crystal Dynamics title universe has other familiar faces on the side of villains and allies, such as Hank Pym, Ant-Man's original form in the comics of decades ago Now we know something more about this veteran comic character.

According to Shawn Escayg in statements to Den of Geek, Hank Pym's role in the story will be that of a character willing to collaborate in the fight for good and that, for different reasons that will be told in the individual story, is seen involved in the same conflict as The Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor and Ms. Marvel).

"(Hank Pym) was seduced by the philosophy of AIM," he says in relation to the criminal organization that is destroying all kinds of freedoms in this universe. "But after having corrupted himself, he has now moved away from that perspective to fight on the side of the good," he continues. Therefore, we should not face this original form of Ant-Man as a villain. In fact, by the words of Escayg, Pym will have information from AIM for having worked with them in the past, although he does not comment on how the Avengers can benefit from such a circumstance.

Regarding the characters that are coming post-launch, we remember that they will not be shown until 2020, after this Christmas. Therefore, except surprise, we will not see any news related to this aspect of the contents of the game in The Game Awards this December.

May 15 in stores: the Avengers return, this time away from the cinema

Nolan North (Iron Man), Troy Baker (Bruce Banner), Laura Bailey (Black Widow), Jeff Schine (Captain America) and Travis Willingham (Thor) are the voice actors of the confirmed Avengers protagonists, in the absence of knowing who will play to Ms. Marvel.

Marvel’s Avengers will go on sale on May 15, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. From FreeGameTips we could play Marvel’s Avengers for more than half an hour on our visit to Gamescom 2019. You can read our impressions here.
